HDR is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer. The successful candidate will be involved in project coordination, design management, financial and schedule monitoring, stakeholder engagement and negotiations, quality management, and will work closely with a multi‑disciplinary team to create high‑quality design solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as a transportation engineer as needed, including preparing road alignments, cross‑sections, active transportation design, grading models, drainage designs, storm sewer network layouts, quantity estimates, cost estimates, project documentation, and specifications
• Coordinate designs with the rest of the multidisciplinary team including structural, traffic, pavement, environmental, stormwater management, electrical, etc.
• Assist the Project Manager in the day‑to‑day coordination of projects
• Support engagement externally and negotiation with key project stakeholders and clients
• Prepare work plans and schedules in coordination with project managers and other disciplines
• Assist in pursuit of opportunities and preparation of proposals (content generation, schedule, and fee estimates)
