GFL Environmental is looking for a MHSW Facility Operator / Lead Hand to support our operations in the Hamilton / Niagara / Halton area.
Key Responsibilities :
- Working out of various MHSW Depot Locations
- Regular Shifts scheduled at Niagara & Halton (as below)
- Other depot locations include, but not limited to; Hamilton, York, Barrie, and City of Kawartha Lakes
- Bulk and consolidate household hazardous waste (i.e. paint, stain, solvents, cleaners and aerosols) manually or by machine
- Perform physical labour by lifting containers up to 20L in size
- Complete production reports and paperwork
- Work safely at all times
- Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Schedule + Hours :
- Monday (Niagara Region 2 different sites to be assigned) 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm
- Tuesday & Thursday (Halton Region) 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm
- Position also required to cover vacations / scheduled time off as well as unscheduled absences for MHSW Depot Supervisors Monday through Saturday as required throughout the year
- On days where off-site, MHSW Depot Lead-hand work is not required, regular Facility Operator work at the Lottridge Facility will be made available A company vehicle will be provided for transportation to the MHSW Depots when acting as a Facility Operator, MHSW Depot Lead Hand
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies :
- Valid G Driver’s License
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- TDGA Certification is an asset
- First Aid Certified is an asset
- Current Lead-Hand experience is an asset
