Electrical Designer / Jr. Project Manager - Engineering Building Services

Are you a seasoned Electrical Engineer with a passion for Building Systems Design? Our client is seeking a dynamic Electrical Designer / Jr.

Project Manager with 5-10 years of relevant experience to join our team in Calgary. If you excel in creating innovative electrical designs for commercial, residential, and institutional buildings, we want to hear from you!

Key Qualifications :

• Experience : 5-10 years in Electrical Building Systems Design (Industrial experience not applicable).
• Education : Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• P.Eng designation is preferred, however, EIT’s with some project management experience will be considered.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, AGI or Dialux, Bluebeam.
• Codes & Standards : Strong knowledge of Alberta’s Building Codes, Canadian Electrical Codes, NFPA, and CAN / ULC standards.
• Proactive Mindset : Initiative-driven with a passion for continuous learning.

Your Role :

• Design Excellence : Develop electrical designs, specifications, and detailed drawings for power, lighting, fire alarm, security, and communications systems.
• Coordination & Communication : Collaborate with clients and consultants, ensuring smooth communication across all project phases.
• Project Management : Manage scheduling, time management, and reporting for seamless project delivery.
• Site Involvement : Conduct on-site surveys, inspections, and ensure top-tier construction administration.
