You'll have the opportunity to assist our project teams with the planning, scheduling and coordinating of on-site mechanical and electrical activities.

Here's how a Building Systems Coordinator for our Winnipeg office contributes to our team :

Responsibilities

  • Assist project team with coordination of building systems trades for compliance to drawings, specifications, quality, and schedule.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling and coordination of on-site mechanical and electrical activities.
  • Assist with coordination drawing process.
  • Reads and understands the building systems trade contractor quality-management programs. Witnesses on-site field testing and records results.
  • Oversee commissioning process, including scheduling, testing activities, and project close out.
  • Chair various meetings related to building systems.
  • Assist project team with building systems commissioning document deliverables.
  • Attends management and architect meetings related to building systems.
  • Adheres and supports internal safety programs.
  • Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders, including owners, consultants, jurisdiction authorities and trades.

Qualifications

Tradesperson or post-secondary diploma / degree in a related discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, controls) is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Co-op or relevant experience in a construction environment preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and / or electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with construction progress and sequencing.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a face-paced environment.
  • Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines, and delegate tasks.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and become proficient with new software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
