Position Overview
- The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of our defence projects within the business. This includes alignment with budget, scope and schedule as well as collaboration with our engineering, procurement and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
You will create detailed project plans including work breakdown structures, resource allocations, detailed budgets, schedules, and key milestonesYou will ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budgetYou will manage various internal and external project teams to ensure client satisfaction as defined by performance, schedule and budgetYou will lead and support proposals of existing and new customers and review the administration of additional subcontractsYou will stay on top of industry trends and work to identify and capture new business opportunities with existing and potential customersYou will maintain accurate critical path schedule models and initiate appropriate corrective action plans to remain aligned with project deliverablesYou will work closely with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across cross‑functional teams by providing clear project expectations, recommendations, and project status updates, while striving to remove barriers to successQualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Commerce (or a related field) or a Technologist diploma is requiredA PMP designation is considered an assetExperience
5+ years of experience in a project management environment with large, cross‑functional projectsExperience in defence, satellite communications, or other technology sector environments are considered an assetAble to exercise strong interpersonal skills, decision‑making abilities, and navigate ambiguityWilling and able to travel internationallyProficient using Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPointA clear sense of urgency to achieve results.
