Senior Analyst - Budgets & Forecast

Adecco is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst, Budgets & Forecast to join our clients team for a 6-month contract role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for representing Budgets & Forecast in cross-functional project teams, consolidating, and analyzing budgets, preparing monthly forecasts, and providing crucial financial analysis to support decision-making.

  • Shifts : Monday-Friday 8hr days 4 days in office, 1 day work from home

Responsibilities :

  • Represent Budgets & Forecast in cross-functional project teams to deliver the annual budget.
  • Consolidate and analyze the annual budget for executive and Board reporting, including detailed analysis of budget comparatives and prior forecasts.
  • Prepare the monthly forecast and quarterly Board materials using the Forecast Consolidation Model, including detailed financial analysis to inform impacts of model assumptions.
  • Prepare monthly corporate performance scorecard updates for the executive team.
  • Administer BPC and Spotfire tools, including access administration, data stewardship, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure information is presented in a relevant way for timely decision-making, focusing on critical operational and financial data points.
  • Interpret and develop accounting processes on a forward-looking basis to ensure alignment with financial reporting standards.
  • Support acquisition, divestment, or other corporate-wide initiatives by assessing budget, forecast, and scorecard implications.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses to support strategy sessions, budget planning, 5-year business plans, and Investor Day presentations.

Requirements :

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CFA designation preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in business analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, or management reporting.
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP, BPC, Spotfire, and PlanningSpace considered an asset.
  • Prior oil and gas experience preferred.
