We are looking for a Process Engineer, Dynamic Simulations to assist with dynamic process modeling, design, and optimization of Hydron’s gas upgrading and separation systems, with a focus on adsorption-based processes. This role supports project development and execution by translating project requirements into robust dynamic process designs, operating parameters, and technical documentation, while working closely with internal teams and external project stakeholders.
Responsibilities Include :
- Developing and optimizing dynamic process models, simulations, and mass and energy balances
- Building and validating dynamic models for pressure swing adsorption (PSA) and temperature swing adsorption (TSA) systems
- Conducting process simulations, creating P&ID drawings, line and equipment sizing
- Defining process design parameters, operating conditions, and performance expectations for dynamic operation and control scenarios
- Supporting the preparation of technical documentation, design bases, and engineering deliverables
- Analyzing process and operational data
- Preparing technical reports, performance evaluations, and recommendations
- Supporting continuous improvement of process performance and system reliability through dynamic simulation studies
Skills & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field3+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in gas processing, separations, or energy systemsStrong experience with dynamic process modeling and simulation, including transient operation and control-focused studiesHands-on experience with Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Adsorption and familiarity with adsorption process modeling for PSA & TSAAbility to translate project requirements into practical and reliable process designs, including dynamic operating envelopes and constraintsExperience preparing technical reports and engineering documentationStrong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teamsComfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environmentAnnual Salary :
CAD $65,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience
