We’re looking for an Automation & Controls Engineer / Specialist to join our Heffley Creek Division, located in Kamloops, British Columbia. With approximately employees, Heffley Creek produces plywood and veneer products, safely and sustainably while producing approximately million square feet of plywood and million square feet of veneer per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications :
- A qualified Trades Certification with relevant experience , an Engineering degree, or an Engineering Technical Diploma .
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment (Forest Products Manufacturing preferred).
- Experience with PLC programming such as Allen Bradley, HMI or Rockwell (Rockwell Studio 0 preferred).
- Experience with Human Machine Interfaces (FactoryTalk View SE).
- Proficient with FactoryTalk software (View, Linx, AssetCentre, etc.).
- Experience with industrial machine automation.
