Licensed Mechanic

(Regular Full-time Position - 12-month / 8 hrs day) – [Commencing immediately] – Truro Bus Garage (Cobequid Family) – Competition #25-03-080

General Qualifications

• Province of Nova Scotia Truck (Bus) and Transport Mechanic Certificate or enrolled in an apprenticeship program; [applicants must include a copy of Certificate, if applicable]
• Minimum of Grade 12 High School Graduation Certificate or academic equivalent through educational programs such as a Graduated Equivalent Diploma;
• Minimum of three (3) years work experience in the trade (preference for commercial / industrial / educational settings);
• Must have training or be willing to receive training in applicable safety programs.
• Able to perform duties with minimal supervision;
• Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License - Class 2 or higher, or willing to obtain such Class.

Other Assets

Salary : As per CUPE Collective Agreement : $34.72
