On behalf of our client, a leader in agricultural commodities trading , we are searching for a Logistics Manager to join their team in Oakville Ontario.
As a Logistics Manager you will :
- Be self motivated and able to make decisions quickly.
- Able to lead a team of 8-10 logistics coordinators and documentation specialists both in Oakville and virtually from overseas.
- Come with knowledge of logistics related to ocean container, railway, dry containers.
- Cross border experience, securing products from the US to bring to Canada.
- Knowledge of customs documentation.
- Inventory and freight management background.
- Able to negotiate freight rates with trucking and shipping lines.
- Experience coordinating full cycle logistics from origin to destination.
- Able to ensure timely fulfillment of all sales and purchase contracts.
- Confident in resolving claims as they arise and able to analyze operational performance.
- Work collaboratively across the trading team and other departments, communicating position on a regular basis.
- Past experience supervising logistics and documentations teams.
