Modification Material Coordinator

Acara Solutions has an opening for a Modification Material Coordinator with Alstom Transportation in Toronto, ON.

Key Responsibilities :
- Check incoming materials from vendors and Alstom plants.
- Manage and prepare the kitting of the parts for MODs after the parts are received.
- Coordinating shipments and communications to vendors for tools repair and calibration.
- Updating MOD INVENTORY FILE to reflect updates from day, afternoon, & night shift reports, and from AVM file.
- Ordering parts and kits specific to MODs via Thunder Bay and vendors.
- Liaising with onsite technicians, site manager, and supervisors for any specific kit requirements and urgent tasks.
- Perform regular cycle and physical counts on MOD kits.
- Ensuring tidiness and organization of parts and kits in the container; recently did the overall clean up and consolidation of MOD parts in the container.
- Next phase is distribution of surplus and disposal of unaddressed parts from cancelled and closed MODs to free up space.
- Facilitating weekly MOD material update status meetings relating to MOD kit requests with Thunder Bay on Tuesdays.
- Update Inventory tracking file on Sharepoint upon delivery of MOD kits.
- Update Master Calibration Tool list on Sharepoint for new tools, calibration.
- Performing inventory of parts and kits int he container for active MODs from time to time.
- Ensuring proper disposal of empty crates and skids with the help of the team.
- Collaborate with support manager in generating PI weekly report to submit to PI project manager.
