Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification and assessment, structural design, and ageing management.
• Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry and prepare design documents and compile engineering packages.
• Analyze structural systems and elements as required using Analysis Software programs such as SAP2000, STAAD Pro and other structural programs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Codes, Standards and Regulations, and ensure the adequacy of design for permits and compliance with approved plans.
• Accountable for delivering all engineering deliverables / tasks to achieve project objectives within specified timelines and budgets.
• Provide technical instructions to junior staff or designers to develop engineering documentation.
• Review and comment on the work performed by others to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and design documentation.
• Check the work performed meets the quality requirements in accordance with company QA programs and manuals.
• Participate in formal engineering design and other reviews as may be mandated for the design changes in question.
• Prepare engineering estimate and technical write-up for proposals.
• Perform plant walkdowns as and if required in support of design requirements definition and detailed engineering of design modifications.
