Responsibilities

What will you do?

Program Management

  • Oversee large, cross-functional, inter-connected initiatives through the project life cycle
  • Report (both written and verbal) effectively on program updates, risks, and upcoming milestones to various levels of stakeholders
  • Work closely with initiative sponsors, business stakeholders, and technology partners to understand and decide on strategies and objectives
  • Develop business and technical project plans in partnership with the project team to ensure that all initiatives within the program are executed on scope, on schedule and on budget, and within best practices and organizational standards
  • Resolve issues and escalate appropriately to ensure smooth delivery
  • Develop evaluation method to assess program performance to maximize ROI
  • Monitor and manage program Opex and Capex budgets and constraints, where required
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to P&C CoE’s, Project Sponsors and Key Stakeholders regarding program / project issues, options, and opportunities for to further organizational capabilities

HR Technology Capabilities Management & Thought Leadership

Display a comprehensive understanding of the companies overall suite of services, operating platform(s), business strategy and priorities by identifying gaps, driving change, and influencing project related decisions to achieve project goals and delivery of desired results

Risk Management & Analysis

  • Mitigate risks, resolve issues, and manage resources to successfully meet program goals and deliverables
  • Ensure initiatives are effectively managed by Project Managers; assist in resolution of the critical issues that may derail a program and provide solutions
  • Ensure all potential risks (Data Management, Systems Risk, resources, etc.) are identified and all impacted stakeholders are engaged

Leadership & People Management

  • Coach and evaluate Project Managers to develop a strong team
  • Actively participates in / leads the Project Delivery Community of Practice (CoP) to create and build on project delivery best practices
  • Set clear expectations and hold people accountable
  • Manage resources across projects
  • Manage external vendors and hold them accountable

Portfolio Operations Assistance

  • Aid the Manager, Digital Portfolio in optimizing processes and tools to ensure the Digital team is running smoothly
  • Provide and act on approved feedback for improvements in the Digital Portfolio
  • Assist in reporting across the portfolio
  • Uphold the policies and standards set by the Manager, Digital Portfolio across the Digital and PET portfolio
  • Update and manage the knowledge base for the Digital Portfolio

Qualifications

Qualifications :

  • 8+ years of related work experience, with direct work experience across a variety of HR disciplines to support a strong foundational knowledge of HR best practices and regulatory processes
  • 8+ years of relevant program management experience; with at least 5+ years directly managing projects
  • 4 year degree in HR, Business, Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Project and / or Program designations (PMP, PgMP, )
  • Proven experience managing a team of varying skill and technical expertise levels
  • Deep understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques - including business case development, ROI analysis, planning and risk management
  • Deep understanding of waterfall and agile practices, particularly Scrum
  • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
  • Experience working with various digital human resources system architectures (preference for those with specifically Workday, Avature, and Dayforce WFM)
  • Provide guidance and mentorship for project managers within the program
  • Experience in managing programs in highly dynamic, global organizations; preference for those experienced in retail or similar industries with blended and distributed workforce (i.

e. mix of salary and contingent workers)

  • Demonstrated experience translating business strategy into roadmaps
  • Takes ownership and follows through on tasks; drives decisions; results-oriented
  • Flexible and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Creative and curious strategic thinker
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to cater to all audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven leadership
  • Demonstrated experience making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints while keeping the end user needs at top of mind

  • Change Management or Agile certifications (Prosci, CSM, )
  • MBA or related master’s degree
  • Confluence & JIRA competency
  • Experience in high-growth organizations
  • Strong financial modelling skills
