Primary Purpose of PositionThe TemporaryPartTime Project Coordinator serves as a temporaryparttime / fulltime coordinator with the primary responsibility forserving the needs of the Small Farm Unit in Goldsboro NC in thedevelopment and delivery of research and educational programssupporting the mission of the Center for Environmental FarmingSystems (CEFS) and the Cooperative Extension at North CarolinaAgricultural and Technical State University.
The ProjectCoordinator supports the core mission of CEFS and CooperativeExtension which focus on one or more of the followinginterdisciplinary initiatives : vegetable productions andmanagement;
Agribusiness Farm Financial Analysis and Marketing;General Horticulture and Food Systems. The Program Coordinator isexpected to work collaboratively with the project PrincipalInvestigator Small Farm Unit manager as well as other partners.
Close collaboration with Horticulture and Natural ResourcesExtension Programs is required.Primary Function of OrganizationalUnit
- Assist with producer andextension agent training for stakeholders GeneralAssistance :
- Help with demonstrations andoutreach to Counties
- Help assemble educationalnotebooks and other training relatedmaterials.
Work Hours Varies Mondayto Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for a total of 30 hours perweek. Some weekends when needed. Is this position eligible for aremote or hybrid work arrangement consistent with university andstate policies.
