We are currently looking for a bilingual professional to join our Mining group as Technical Representative . The purpose of this position is to support the commercial team in its efforts to gain market share in the precious metal extraction market (with a focus on Gold).
With the support of the Technical and Commercial team, you will be required to travel frequently to customer sites to support plant trials, document and analyze various reports, while keeping an eye on new industry trends.
The ideal candidate will be based in Quebec or Ontario and have close access to an airport in order to travel to our customer’ site.
Here are some of the main responsibilities or the Technical Representative :
- Support the Account Managers and Product Managers in their efforts to increase market share in the precious metal extraction market
- Working with the Technical team to evaluate the needs at qualified prospect accounts
- Supporting our Technical team to perform bench scale metallurgical lab work at customer sites and at third party laboratories
- Supporting plant trials at customer sites with the supervision of our technical and commercial team
- Provide meaningful value-based technical support at customer site or remotely
- With the guidance of the technical team, write and author analytical reports which are to be customer facing
- Working in collaboration with the team, debrief and present the results of the work with both customers and Quadra s commercial team
- Document and capture the value we generate and to help the marketing team to broadcast the value we generate via website, social media and / or joint presentations with customers at CMP / SME events
- Participate in customer technical training seminars
- Conduct joint calls with the commercial team and suppliers
- Maintain fully detailed records of customer contacts, call reports to be entered into our CRM within a timely manner
- Keeping up to date with advancements in the mining technology, industry, business trends and reports any customer complaints, satisfaction or dissatisfaction and competitor’s activities
- Keep abreast of competitor product knowledge and competitive activities
- Participate in training seminars and conventions to enhance and improve your technical knowledge

What are the requirements needed for this role? :
- Undergraduate degree in Metallurgical, Mining, Materials or Chemical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in mineral processing or recent graduates with a co-op experience in mineral processing
- Hands on approach and capable to conduct bench scale metallurgical testing ( leaching and froth flotation work)
- Knowledge of the technical application of chemicals and reagents used in the mineral processing industry would be an asset
- Bilingualism (French / English) spoken and written is required for this role
- Willing to travel at least 50% of the time; you must have a valid driver's license and passport
- Meticulousness in data collection, documentation, and analysis
- Being a team player and contributing positively to team dynamics is important for achieving collective goals
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ability to use multiple digital platforms; an experience with a CRM (Salesforce) system would be an asset
