Content & Engagement Coordinator

About the Role

Location : Central Commons, 800-1000 7 Ave SW

Job Type : Full Time Regular

Hours : 37.5 per week

Salary : $49,500 - $62,500

The Content & Engagement Coordinator supports Carya’s digital communications by coordinating and executing content across social media, email, and other channels. This hands‑on role focuses on turning strategic content into well‑organized, platform‑appropriate assets that are timely, consistent, and engaging. Working closely with the Director of Investor & Public Relations and the Strategic Communications Specialist, the Coordinator helps ensure Carya’s work is visible and clearly communicated to our audiences.

What You Will Do

Digital Campaign Coordination & Content Execution.

  • Coordinate integrated digital communications across social media, email, web, and select print channels in alignment with the content calendar.
  • Translate core content into clear, channel‑ready assets with consistent messaging and strong calls to action.
  • Maintain the communications calendar and organized digital asset library, ensuring accuracy, approvals, and deadlines are met.
  • Social Media & Community Engagement

  • Manage day‑to‑day social media execution, including scheduling, monitoring, and basic community management across platforms.
  • Respond to comments, tags, and messages in a timely, professional, and brand‑aligned manner, escalating issues as needed.
  • Support consistent use of Carya’s brand voice, accessibility standards, and inclusive, person‑first language.
  • Website & Basic SEO Support

  • Support website updates and blog publishing, including formatting, uploading, linking, and accessibility checks.
  • Apply basic SEO best practices to improve visibility and reach as directed.
  • Help keep key web pages current and aligned with campaign and organizational priorities.
  • Events & Community Engagement

  • Support event logistics and promotion, including digital invitations, RSVPs, auction coordination, and follow‑up communications.
  • Coordinate and support third‑party fundraising initiatives and corporate volunteer experiences under the direction of the Director of Investor & Public Relations.
  • Capture and share event content in alignment with consent, privacy, and brand guidelines.
  • This task list is not exhaustive; additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

    What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a communications, marketing, or digital engagement role, with hands‑on responsibility for executing content across social media, email, and / or web platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience creating, scheduling, and publishing content using social media management and / or email marketing tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar).
  • Strong working knowledge of how social media, email, and web content work together to support a coordinated communications or campaign plan.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to adapt existing content into clear, audience‑appropriate messaging for different platforms.
  • High level of attention to detail, including proofreading, formatting, link checking, accessibility considerations, and quality assurance before content goes live.
  • Experience maintaining content calendars, asset libraries, and documentation, with comfort managing multiple deadlines and approvals at once.
  • Basic experience with analytics and performance tracking, including reviewing social media and email metrics and contributing to simple reports or summaries is an asset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment, with a proactive and solutions‑oriented mindset.
  • Interest in or alignment with social impact, community wellbeing, and Carya’s mission and values.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 with a focus on SharePoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize your emails and calendar.
