About Jetpack Interactive :

Jetpack Interactive has been a fixture in the Vancouver game development community since2011. Our studio DNA originated from three flagship Vancouver development studios (Black BoxGames, Deep Fried Entertainment, & United Front Games).

We are a console & PC gamedeveloper and have focused on building long-term relationships with AAA game studios whoneed engineering expertise to help bring their games to market.

Jetpack has worked alongside Sony Interactive Entertainment (Santa Monica Studio) on severalGod Of War projects, including the port of GOW 2018 to PC / Steam and GOW Ragnarok.

Jetpack’s work has received praise from critics and Sony Santa Monica alike and our studiocontinues to collaborate with Santa Monica Studio and other PlayStation projects.

We are looking for a few skilled game developers to join our team and help PlayStation bringsome of their most prized IPs to market.

Role :

You are a gamer at heart. You’re comfortable delving into both script and code. You understandthe importance of being able to translate from art to tech and back again, so our teams canleverage the toolsets and work together to get the iconic art from this legendary franchise intothe game.

Responsibilities :

Research, define, extend, and maintain production pipelines, processes, and workflows Liaise effectively both internally and with our client;

drive collaboration and add value tothe project Troubleshoot issues; resolve them : invent or build robust, quality technicalimplementations Work closely with artists and designers to develop procedural systems and improve theirworkflows Participate in art asset reviews to help identify technical concerns or risks Understand, communicate and prioritize the needs of our clientsRequirements : Minimum 7 years of professional experience in computer-generated 3D art Solid understanding of 3D math Intimate knowledge of Houdini and / or procedural asset creation High Proficiency with Maya Familiar with artist workflows and processes Good understanding of algorithm design and of their inherent complexity Proficient scripting / programming experience in Python, PyQT / PySide Ability to write clean, maintainable and extensible code with attention to reusability Ability to effectively manage relationships with external clients Enthusiasm and initiative Excellent spoken and written communication

Preferred Experience : Industry experience working and shipping AAA titles Programming experience with C++ Experience in design or creating world building tool sets
