Job Summary : The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical care to select patients under the supervision of a professional nurse or licensed medical practitioner.
In addition to assisting with direct patient care, this role is responsible for various clerical duties to ensure efficient office operations.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, proficiency in computerized processes, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Hours :
8 : 00 AM - 8 : 00 PM Rotation
Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm
Friday 8am-5pm and
Saturday 9am-11am
No Holidays or On-Call
Essential Job Functions :
Prepares exam rooms, treatment areas, and necessary supplies or instruments.
Prepares patients for physician visits and examinations, assisting as directed.
Records patient vital signs in the medical chart.
Understands and operates specialized equipment properly.
Conducts EKGs, PFTs, Audiometry, Titmus Test, UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other lab tests following successful completion of performance evaluations.
Completes patient records and manages filing and reporting as directed.
Assists with collections and billing processes when necessary.
Utilizes office software to manage records and ensure system efficiency.
Maintains patient confidentiality and adapts care based on patient needs (age, culture, language, impairments, etc.).
Lifts at least 5 lbs., pushes and pulls 10 lbs., and is required to stand for at least 6 hours daily.
Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.

Education :
Required : High School Diploma or GED
Preferred : Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Certifications and Licensure :
Required : AHA BLS Certification

CMA-AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)
RMA-AMT (American Medical Technologists)
