What this role is all about :

Beem Credit Union is seeking a dynamic and innovative professional with a deep understanding of financial products and a strong strategic mindset to join us as a Product Manager.

The Product Manager reports to the VP, Products & Segments, and is responsible for a product portfolio that may include financial products, unique market segments, or member channels.

Their primary responsibility is to set the strategy and vision for their portfolio and develop a roadmap to improve their portfolio to be the most desirable, feasible, and viable for Beem and its members.

Some of the goals will be to optimize product performance, automate processes, increase digital adoption, deepen member engagement, and grow share.

As a visionary leader in the business innovation function, the Product Manager prioritizes member needs and bold ideas and finds the right balance with sound business and technology decisions to support an innovative and exciting member journey.

The incumbent is a bridge between business innovation and the broader functional organization and maintains a sound understanding of financial products, technology, and member experience to promote Beem’s aspiration of being a Digital First, People First financial institution.

There are multiple vacancies available for this exciting opportunity! We are looking for individuals with Product experience specifically in the areas of Payments, Wealth Management, Business Banking, and Segments.

This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid arrangement, allowing you to work from any of our Beem Credit Union Locations or remotely.

What you’ll do :

Product Strategy, Research & Development

  • Design and manage the product vision and strategy to create and support the product roadmap to drive growth and engagement.
  • Maintain proactive awareness of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape; evaluate competitor product and, their effectiveness in meeting member needs, and potential improvements.
  • Champion the process of product development and innovation from ideation, through testing, business case development, product launch and in-market performance.
  • Develop new product features and functionalities based on member journeys, feedback, and market trends or through the Beem innovation process.
  • Manage processes of transition and retirement of existing products.
  • Maintain agile product backlogs that align with product roadmap.
  • Establish pricing strategy, marketing, legal and financial targets

Product Analytics

  • Define product performance metrics and targets.
  • Track and analyze product performance through metrics such as user engagement, conversion rates, member feedback and market trends or other KPI’s as appropriate for each product for continuous product improvement.
  • Utilize various data analysis techniques and tools to derive actionable insights that inform product development, feature prioritization, and optimization efforts.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams, including innovation, strategy, data and analytics, technology, and sales & marketing, to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
  • Development of written and other visual communication artifacts such as presentations, and effective communication of concepts to all levels of management
  • Communicate ongoing changes and business results with stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Champion and advocate products across the organization, ensuring every team member understands the value proposition and member impact.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on product management, providing guidance and support to the organization.
  • As the business lead, champion major cross-portfolio projects and cross-functional product initiatives, and agile project teams.

A little about your qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related area
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in product management including analytics, roadmaps, and customer journeys
  • Knowledge of financial products and services, member segmentation, digital and physical channels and non-traditional competition
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to tell a story or convey a proposal and obtain buy-in
  • Understanding of agile or similar methodology
  • Strong understanding of digital concepts
  • Equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate

  • Competitive base salary; reviewed annually. The salary range for this position is $119,500 to $132,800 starting salary will be based on related education, training, and experience.
