Early Childhood Educator – Temporary Part‑Time
The Temporary Part‑Time Early Childhood Educator (ECE) helps create a safe, warm, inviting, and nurturing environment where young children can develop, grow, and learn in a way that best supports their individual needs. This role requires a willingness to work with children of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all health and safety requirements within the room in accordance with Fraser Health licensing regulations.
- Observe children in their surroundings, assess individual and group needs, and complete child progress reports.
- Check toys and equipment for safety hazards and appropriate functioning.
- Supervise indoor and outdoor play as required.
- Promote an environment that celebrates the diversity of families, children, and their individual learning and care needs.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Be physically active and responsive to children's physical needs, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
Qualifications
Valid ECE and / or IT / SN License to practice in B.C.Current emergency First Aid and CPR certificates; pass a criminal record check.1–2 years working in an ECE / IT role.Location : Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
