Maintenance Technician
Location- Brampton, ON
Role Summary :
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment. The successful candidate will ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely while supporting general facility maintenance. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on industrial experience and strong problem-solving abilities.
What is Offered :
Hourly Rate : $28-$35 / hr
Shift : Choice of Day or Afternoon shift
Contract to Hire position
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and warehouse equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Work on conveyor systems including belts, rollers, motors, and sensors
Complete general warehouse maintenance duties (basic electrical and mechanical work, fixing bulbs, door handles, minor repairs, etc.)
Support setup and teardown of production lines as required
Fabricate basic parts and perform mechanical adjustments
Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies
Complete work orders, logs, and maintenance reports accurately
Assist with facility maintenance (utilities, building systems, infrastructure)
Work safely and follow all company safety regulations
Participate in overtime, weekend work, or rotating shifts when needed
Support and potentially train production or maintenance staff
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
Experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, VOM, etc.)
Basic computer skills for documentation
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to participate in continuous improvement programs
Preferred Assets
Experience in corrugated or converting manufacturing
Familiarity with PLCs, drive controllers, or automated systems
Ability to fabricate or perform minor mechanical modifications
