Description :
The Service Designer role is anticipated for one year, with the possibility of a 24-month extension. This position is full-time and may involve work across two to three projects.
Work hours and location will be determined by project needs.
The following deliverables must be produced iteratively throughout the project :
- Integration of human-centered design methods into service projects.
- Documentation and analysis of project outcomes, focusing on efficiency and accessibility.
- Evaluation of user and employee experiences across multiple channels (mobile, web, etc.), identifying gaps and opportunities.
Must-Have Qualifications :
Work Experience :
- Experience with service design research and outputs : 7 years
- Experience working within a cross-functional product team in an Agile environment : 7 years
Nice-to-Have Qualifications :
- Experience planning, conducting, and analyzing findings from qualitative field research : 2 years
- Experience planning, conducting, and analyzing findings from co-design workshops with service users : 3 years
- Experience planning, observing, analyzing, and reporting on usability testing of production or prototype systems : 1 year
- Experience working as a Service Designer in a cross-functional team to deliver a digital service, including concept testing and service prototyping : 2 years
- Experience working with change management, policy changes, staffing changes, or other organizational changes as part of service transformation and implementation : 2 years
- Experience working as a Service Designer on projects comparable in size and complexity to service innovation, program review, or digital transformation projects like those within the Government of Alberta : 2 years
