Civil Engineer – Associated Engineering
We currently have an opening for a Civil Engineer in our Victoria office to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will assist local staff in the design, construction and project management of a wide variety of projects, including small- and large-scale municipal developments, civil site development, and municipal rehabilitation projects. Core responsibilities involve civil design in water, sanitary, storm sewer design and roadways, as well as general transportation and urban planning design tasks. The team works on projects ranging from water and wastewater conveyance, pumping, municipal roads, district energy piping, hydraulic analysis, trenchless installation, and more. Depending on experience, there is opportunity to take a lead role with increasing responsibility on significant regional infrastructure projects, supporting principal engineers on complex initiatives. Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Eligible for professional licensing with EGBC as a P.Eng.
- 5+ years of civil design experience.
- Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Software Suite, CAD and Civil 3D.
- Experience in design, specifications, cost estimating, tendering, and construction.
- Experience on site for civil infrastructure construction projects.
- Experience with various project delivery methods, including MMCD. MMCD Contract Administration Certification is a beneficial asset.

Responsibilities
Act as Project Engineer / Manager on assignments.Provide support to technicians and designers to ensure contract drawings are accurately prepared and checked.Prepare written technical reports including feasibility studies, concept design, detailed design, and design criteria reports.Prepare contract documents and construction drawings.Prepare funding submissions.Oversee and coordinate work for Civil Technologists.Perform construction administration / inspection.Manage project tasks including communications with clients, schedules, budgets, and reporting.Perform quality management tasks including quality control and assurance.Achieve budget compliance on assigned engineering projects.Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients.Coordinate sub-consultants on projects.Coordinate with various project disciplines on larger projects.Execute projects in accordance with company guidelines and standards.Participate in marketing strategies and business development to procure new business.Assist with writing proposals to procure new projects.Benefits
