Thoroughly review, interpret, and take off project tender documents to provide estimates for labor, equipment, and materials.
Review awarded projects, handle shop drawings and material submittals, review project changes and updates, coordinate with clients as the project progresses, and see through project delivery.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, regulatory authorities, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Manage expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project.
Address issues and challenges that arise during construction, such as design changes, unforeseen site conditions, and logistical complications. Develop and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
Maintain clear and open communication channels with all project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications :
Minimum 2-3 years experience in Construction Estimating
Minimum 3-5 years of Project Management experience in the General Construction Industry
Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Basic understanding of CCDC-2 Contracts
Intermediate skills in working with Project Documents such as drawings and specifications.
High level of skills in working with MS Office applications (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project) and with takeoff programs (in particular On-Screen Takeoff)
Very organized and disciplined (understand and follow the organizational etiquette and procedures).
Team driven, highly efficient, multi-tasking, and deliverable oriented (take responsibility and ownership for the assigned duties);
Drive own vehicle and able to attend site meetings and visits on an occasional basis (mandatory HSP training will be provided if required);
Professional, motivated to learn, and a career-minded individual.
Quantity Surveyor Education is an asset.
A college diploma or post-graduate certificate in an industry-relevant program is an asset.
