Project Manager (Construction NOT IT)

Vancouver / Lower Mainland

Base Salary : $130 - 150K + benefits + vehicle allowance + profit sharing / bonus

Our Client :

Our client is a well-established siding and finishing construction company based in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, with over 20 years of industry experience.

Serving both residential and commercial sectors, they are known for their commitment to quality and timely project delivery.

Position Overview :

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our client’s dynamic team. This is a pivotal role within the company, where you will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle from initial planning to final delivery.

Your primary focus will be to ensure projects are executed efficiently, meeting scope, budget, and schedule requirements.

The role also involves fostering strong relationships with internal teams, clients, consultants, and sub-contractors to ensure project success as well as nurturing relationships with local Developers to create more project opportunities for the company.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and oversee projects from initial conception through to completion
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Create rapports / relationships with key decision makers within Development firms
  • Define project scope, requirements, and deliverables
  • Identify and manage the resources (labor, materials, equipment) necessary to meet project goals
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules with clear milestones and deadlines
  • Establish baseline scope, budget, and schedule before project initiation
  • Ensure all client and sub-contractor agreements are completed and signed before project kick-off
  • Monitor and report on project progress using agreed-upon procedures
  • Manage all aspects of the project, including resources, stakeholder communications, risks, and changes
  • Work closely with the Site Supervisor to ensure project quality is maintained
  • Transition completed deliverables to the owner, ensuring proper project closure and completion of warranty and close-out documentation

Key Skills and Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with a focus on siding projects in the construction industry
  • Proven ability to interpret drawings, consultant reports, and specification packages
  • Experience managing subtrade projects in residential and mixed-use construction
  • Experience creating and fostering relationships with key decision makers within Development firms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of current building codes, standards, and regulations
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Experience with construction management software (e.g., Corecon) is a plus

Interactions :

  • Internal : Collaborating closely with the Owner and all company staff / subcontractors.
  • External : Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers, sub-contractors, and inspectors as well as fostering relationships with local Developers to create more project opportunities for the company.
