About the position :

Currently, we are seeking an experienced, energetic, and driven  Project Manager / Estimator  to join our Construction group in Burnaby focused on Commercial, Institutional and Residential, Projects.

The Project Manager / Estimator is responsible to lead all aspects of the job.

This includes the estimating, project planning, labour management, procurement, billing, communications, and wrap up of each project.

Project Manager Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities.
  • Estimate projects and submit tenders,
  • Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
  • Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors, and end users.
  • Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour.
  • Mitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as needed.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectations.
  • Be present on jobsites when required and review project upon completion to discuss success and challenges.
  • Review the project at completion with the foreman and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges.

Project Manager Experience and Skills :

  • Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma / certificate
  • 2 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and / or estimating.
  • Previous experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid (Accubid Pro and Change Order) an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Strong communication and team working skills.
  • Good computer skills including MS Office, Bluebeam, Procore, ZOOM, etc.

    Salary for this position will be commensurate with current working experience.
