Job Description
We currently have an opening for a Civil Engineer in our Victoria Office to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will assist our local staff in the design, construction and project management of a wide variety of projects including small- and large‑scale municipal developments, civil site development and municipal rehabilitation projects. The core requirements for the role are strong technical capabilities covering all aspects of civil design specifically water, sanitary and storm sewer design and roadways. Broader roles may include general design tasks related to transportation projects and urban planning. The team you will be joining is involved in projects ranging from water and wastewater conveyance and pumping projects, municipal roads design, district energy piping design, hydraulic analysis, trenchless installation projects and much more. Based on your experience, there is opportunity to take a lead role with increasing responsibility on significant regional infrastructure projects, supporting our principal engineers on a wide variety of complex and challenging initiatives. Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post‑secondary institution.
- Eligible for professional licensing with EGBC as a P.Eng.
- 5+ years of civil design experience.
- Experience and proficiency in the Microsoft Software Suite along with knowledge in CAD and civil 3D.
- Experience in the undertaking of design, specifications, cost estimating, tendering, and construction.
- Experience on site for civil infrastructure construction projects.
- Experience with various project delivery methods, including MMCD. MMCD Contract Administration Certification is a beneficial asset.

Additional Requirements
Act as Project Engineer / Manager on assignments.Provide support to technicians and designers to ensure that contract drawings are accurately prepared and checked.Prepare written technical reports including but not limited to feasibility studies, concept design, detailed design, and design criteria reports.Prepare contract documents and construction drawings.Prepare funding submissions.Oversee and coordinate work for Civil Technologists.Perform construction administration / inspection.Perform project management tasks including communications with clients, managing schedules, budgets, and reporting requirements.Perform quality management tasks including quality control and quality assurance tasks.Achieve budget compliance on assigned engineering projects to ensure financial objectives are met or exceeded.Effectively and clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing, with clients.Coordinate sub‑consultants on projects.Coordinate with various project disciplines on larger projects.Execute projects in accordance with company guidelines and standards.Participate in marketing strategies and business development with clients to procure business.Assist with writing proposals to procure new projects.Benefits

The salary range for this position is $80,000‑$100,000 and is commensurate with experience relative to this position.
