We are currently looking for a Guidewire Senior Policy Center Developer for our client.The IT Division of the Saskatchewan Government Insurance has a need for an experienced and knowledgeable Guidewire (GW) Policy Center Developer to be a member of the team.
This is a remote position to work aligned with the Saskatchewan, Canada time zone, business hours (Central Standard Time).
The intended start date for the role is immediate , for a (1) one-year contract with a possible extension.
Key roles and responsibilities :
Build and develop solutions and enhancements within Guidewire PolicyCenter.
Collaborate with the integrations team on policy related integrations.
Advise on best practices and approaches for enhancements within PolicyCenter.
Work with and mentor SGI developers on the team.
Create and update reference documentation as needed.
Necessary Skills and Experience :
University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, information Systems or a related discipline
5+ years of Guidewire development experience in Policy Center including a mix of configuration and integration work.
Knowledge of common integration design patterns used by Policy Center, including the typical internal and external systems that are common (e.g., Claims, MVRs)
Must possess working knowledge with SOAP-based Web Services and Rest API integration within Guidewire.
Formal Guidewire configuration and / or integration training preferred in Policy Center
Preferred to have Guidewire Cloud Policy Center certification.
Excellent troubleshooting skills for solving complex application, data, and infrastructure issues.
Outstanding collaborative drive to work with others, within team and with other teams, on application design, configuration, and performance requirements with a passion for customer experience excellence.
Experience executing Agile methodology, working, and collaborating within a Scrum team.
Strong verbal and written communications skills
A self-starter with a can-do mentality who engages in challenging situations with a sense of ownership and urgency, while being comfortable adapting to changing priorities and juggling concurrent activities to drive results that exceed business expectations.
Experience with Production Support an asset.
Experience working in agile settings.
ABOUT THE ROLE :
