Fibreline Manager
Kruger Inc. – Pulp and Paper – Kamloops – Fortnight (9‑hour day shifts, every other Friday off)
YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Fibreline Manager leads and optimizes the Fibreline at the Kamloops Pulp Mill. This role requires advanced knowledge and a proven track record in safety performance, pulp production, human relations, and continuous improvement.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee day‑to‑day pulp manufacturing and adherence to quality and environmental plans.
- Coordinate production schedules and grade changes with Technical Department, Fibre Supply and Logistics.
- Monitor daily operation and coordinate improvement efforts with leaders in Operations and Maintenance.
- Identify training needs of departments within the Fibreline and ensure manning is in place to support training and succession.
- Investigate production or quality losses and ensure appropriate corrective actions are in place.
- Initiate mill or mill area shutdown or slowdown based on environmental emergency or compliance issues, when required.
- Collaborate with the Shift Coordinator to produce pulp to required specifications for downstream processes.
- Second‑level supervisory responsibility for all Fibreline employees.
- Manage 93 direct and indirect reports, including 4 Area Superintendents, 5 Shift Coordinators and 84 hourly employees.
- Keep up‑to‑date on new and changing technologies and equipment in the pulp and paper industry.
YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 7 years experience working in Kraft pulp mill operations.Advanced knowledge and a proven track record in leading and managing world‑class safety performance, and high level results in pulp production.Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement principles and techniques.Previous experience leading and managing direct reports.Working knowledge of capital budgets and long‑range planning.Expertise in reliability and in-depth knowledge of business principles.Previous experience executing reliability assessments and initiating improvement projects.Strong computer systems aptitude and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite; previous experience using SAP is an asset.WHY WORK AT KRUGER?
