Sheet Metal Estimator - HVAC and related

An established sheet metal contractor based in the Brampton area is currently looking to add an experienced Estimator.

This new construction, renovation and service contractor has a strong focus on the commercial, Industrial, and Institutional sectors in Southern Ontario. From custom ductwork manufacturing, replacements, and retrofits, this team is capable of in-house design fabrication of sheet metal and ducting. This group is extremely supportive and organized. You will not only be supported by the technology required but also the organization.

The role of Sheet Metal Estimator is to prepare accurate tender prices from the available information such as drawings and specifications. Tenders include lump sum, guaranteed maximum price format or unit rate pricing. The estimator will be responsible for preparing, recording and maintaining pricing, ensuring accuracy of the take off, and assisting the management team in the ongoing pursuit and acquisition of new work. Experience working with sheet metal, including within the field considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Sheet Metal estimating as it related to HVAC
• Experience with practical and successful experience in organizing and preparing cost estimates and proposals for construction projects.
• Experience in reading and interpreting construction drawings and documents.
