Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking a Supplier Auditor .

This is a permanent full-time role based in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. The primary language of work is English.

Qualifications :

  • Education : University Degree in a relevant field (science, engineering, etc.)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or equivalent
  • Certificate in ISO auditing or equivalent
  • Experience : 5+ years of proven experience in auditing of shipbuilding, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 : 2015, AS 9100 or equivalent Quality Management Systems
  • In-depth knowledge of shipbuilding materials, processes, and industry standards would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Ability to travel to supplier locations for on-site audits.

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.

S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of supplier facilities.
  • Evaluate supplier documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify critical components and materials, establishing audit criteria accordingly.
  • Provide timely and detailed audit reports, outlining findings, non-conformities, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Work closely with suppliers to address non-conformities, implement corrective actions, and ensure continuous improvement in quality processes.
