The Inventory Specialist is responsible to maintain a high level of inventory accuracy for a specified customer account(s). This position completes inventory audits, investigates variances, finds root causes and report findings and recommends improvements to warehouse processes to prevent inventory loss, improve quality and increase productivity. This position also manages aphes small team of inventory coordinators.
- Maintains inventory accuracy, both physically and systematically by monitoring, validating and tracking inventory moves associated with all processes
- Investigates and escalates inventory discrepancies, and strives to continuously improve procedures and processes to improve quality and accuracy
- Ensure accurate set-up and maintenance and adherence of warehouse management system including but not limited Beaumont to item master, footprints, locations maintenance, replenishment, and cycle counts
- Schedules, coordinates and performs planned cycle counts, count near zero, and physical counts in accordance with internal expectations and customer requirements
- Investigates inventory vrai variances, adjusts inventory records if necessary, determines root cause and recommends corrective action
- Coordinates control of damaged and defective products, and customer claims, ensuring any inventory changes are accounted for and properly processed to the expectations of the customer
- Communicate with managers, supervisors, and customer regarding inventory issues including the existence, cause, and resolution of inventory variances
- Assist where necessary in training team members on inventory SOPs
- Other tasks as assigned.
Education
Completion of secondary school diploma preferred or the equivalent in combination of education and experienceCollege diploma in Logistics Management is an assetExperience
Five (5) years warehouse experience, with three (3) years in inventory control and some management experiencePrevious experience with Warehouse Management Information System (WMS)Why Join Us
