We are currently looking for Truck and Trailer Mechanics to join our Garage team in Brampton.

Tasks/responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance service
• Inspect and test mechanical units, diagnose faults and malfunctions and, repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust units to specifications
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to confirm that they are in proper operating condition
• Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment
• Perform work with safety as a priority and abiding by all safety policies and standards set out by the Metro Truck Group of Companies
• Commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment to ensure customer satisfaction
• General housekeeping duties
• Manage the preventive discussions respecting standards of the transport industry
• Adhere to Government standards.
• Complete Follow-ups with Lead Mechanic and Supervisor
• All other task related

Requirements/skills:

• 310T/J Licensed
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a semi-trailer mechanic
• Experience in diesel mechanics
• Autonomy, resourceful
