Law Clerk Real Estate
Location : Mississauga (Onsite)
Position Overview : We areseeking a detailoriented and highly organized Real Estate Law Clerkto join our dynamic legal team.
The successful candidate willassist our attorneys with all aspects of real estate transactionsincluding document preparation title searches and clientcommunication.
This role requires a strong understanding of realestate law excellent research skills and the ability to managemultiple tasks efficiently.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and review of realestate transaction documents including purchase agreements leasesand closing documents.
- Conduct thorough titlesearches and analyze title reports to identify any potentialissues.
- Prepare and file legal documents withrelevant government agencies and courts.
- Coordinate and schedule real estate closings ensuring allnecessary documentation is completed accurately andtimely.
- Communicate with clients real estateagents lenders and other parties involved in the transaction toprovide updates and gather necessary information.
- Maintain and organize case files ensuring all documentsare filed correctly and up to date.
- Conductlegal research and assist with the drafting of legal memos andbriefs related to real estate law.
- Monitordeadlines and manage a calendar of important dates related to realestate transactions.
- Assist with theresolution of any issues or disputes that arise during thetransaction process.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or Law ClerkDiploma / Certificate from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a law clerkpreferably with a focus on real estate law.
- Strong knowledge of real estate law including titlesearches property transactions and relevant legaldocuments.
- Proficiency in legal research andfamiliarity with legal research tools and databases.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills withthe ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communicationskills.
- Ability to work both independently andas part of a team.
- Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice Suite and legal case management software.
PreferredQualifications :
- Experience working in a law firm or legal departmentspecializing in real estate.
- Knowledge oflocal real estate regulations and procedures.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent.
