McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes is an independent, progressive funeral home with locations in and around Calgary. Recently, we opened the doors to our 10

location in North Calgary so are currently searching for one newly licensed Funeral Director and one experienced Licensed Funeral Director to assist us with the families that we are honoured to serve.

McInnis & Holloway successfully operates 10 locations because of our outstanding team and our team approach to serving families 365 days a year, without the need to work 50-80 hours a week.

We are redefining the traditional Funeral Director role to allow for a work-life balance like never before. However, we understand that after-hours work is sometimes unavoidable, and for these hours, we have a hugely successful Piecework program.

Piecework operates by allowing you to sign up to work only when it works for you and your family, rather than being told when you need to work.

Some recent changes to allow Funeral Directors to focus on what they do best (meeting with families and conducting funerals) include, but are not limited to, the addition to dedicated individuals that support families and the licensed Funeral Director, such as :

• A dedicated individual to help with information calls and price inquiries.
• A dedicated individual to assist with first calls and schedule arrangements.
• A dedicated individual to aid in follow-up with families after arrangements (Funeral Directors have outstanding support from administrative staff so they can focus on working funerals or making arrangements).
• A dedicated individual to monitor and assist with international shipments.
• Two full-time purchasers (after arrangements are complete, purchasing supports the Funeral Director by ordering everything required 7 days a week).
• Three professional graphic designers (now operating 7 days a week).
• Three full-time dedicated crematorium operators (now operating 7 days a week).
• Dedicated transfer staff working from 7 : 00 PM to 7 AM and 7 : 00 AM to 7 PM, 7-days a week (virtually eliminating directors being called out at night).
• Two dedicated car detailers (our funeral directors are washing fewer cars than ever).
• Full-time building maintenance supervisor, dedicated inside and outside maintenance team, and amazing housekeeping team.
