Position Overview :
Our client is a private home care located in the North of Saskatoon. Our client is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses
RN) to join our care team. As a Registered Nurse, you are responsible for providing professional nursing care to individuals, including
the intravenous or injection administration of biologists or other specialty pharmaceutical products and promotes patient health by
completing health reviews prior to treatment, reviews patient files and collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team
members as required
Job duties :
- Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
- Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care in
consultation with patients and their families
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or according to established policies and protocols
- Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions
- Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
- Assist in surgery and other medical procedures
- Provide health education and registered nursing care in public health units and through home visits, manage complex home
care cases, participate in community needs assessment and program development, conduct disease screening and deliver
immunization programs.
- May supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
- May develop and implement discharge planning process on admission of patients
- May teach and counsel patients and their families on health-related issues in collaboration with other health care providers.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing;
A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with College of Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience, degree or equivalent
Experience in Community Health Nursing is an asset
ACLS certification is an asset
Ability to work at various clinics depending on region
