Location Information :

This role is based at our Burlington, Ontario facility, supporting our Lab Automation group, an ISO 9001 certified organization. Our team designs, manufactures, and installs robotic solutions globally, accelerating drug discovery, synthetic biology research, and clinical testing for major pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers. How you will make an impact :

As an Electrical Designer, you will play an important role as part of a project team providing engineered electrical solutions to ensure performance and safety of engineered-to-order (ETO) automated laboratory projects.

What you will contribute :

Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with multi-functional project teams that include the customer, Project Managers, Integrators, Mechanical Designers, Material Planning, Procurement, to plan and develop an ETO solution to achieve the agreed requirements
• Promote a multi-functional team environment through design reviews at key stages of the projects
• Support the pre-sales team as a technical consultant to support customer bids on new business
• Work with vendors to review designs for manufacturability and select components for the system solution providing alternates due to obsolescence or supply chain constraints.
• Support root cause investigations and resolution with internal team members and vendors
