Senior Specialist, Subcontracts – L3Harris Technologies

About your next Challenge as a Senior Specialist, Subcontracts :
- Implement sourcing strategies, assess supplier risk (including financial) and develop mitigation plans.
- Develop & obtain subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and / or services.
- Prepare requests for proposals, conduct suppliers conferences, analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, write awards, and administer resulting subcontracts.
- Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
What will you do :
Drive all aspects of major subcontract execution (cost, schedule, technical, quality) and full integration of the subcontract work scope within the program (proposals, negotiations, contract execution, etc.).Collaborate with Program Manager, Business Development, Supply Chain Leadership and Operations.Apply strong negotiation skills and knowledge of company legal terms and conditions.Experience with Intellectual Property (IP) and Patent requirements to protect company’s IP and patents.Work closely with Trade Compliance and provide guidance to programs related to correct document markings (Export Controlled, Proprietary Information, ITAR, EAR, Controlled Goods, etc.).Identify processes, requirements, and Statements of Work improvements with Technical Teams; propose changes including supply chain risk mitigation strategies with potential cost savings / avoidance.Able to travel domestically and internationally.Location note : Core activities of the program for this role are located at our Enfield facility in Halifax; work may be performed from Halifax or Mirabel.Required Skills and Experiences :
Previous Subcontract experience and / or Program Management.Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience, or Graduate Degree with minimum 4 years of related experience, or equivalent work experience.Bilingual in French and English; English is mandatory due to contractual requirements.Preferred Additional Skills :
Experience within the aerospace industry.Subcontracts experience with military, international, domestic and US Government.Microsoft Office proficiency.Proven ability to provide risk mitigation plans related to source selection.Ability to evaluate suppliers and advise programs on source selection, split orders opportunities, long-term agreements, teaming agreements, and other arrangements.Strong cross-functional communication and ability to work in a high-pressure environment with deadlines.Certified Supply Chain Professional (SCMP) – a plus.Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory) :
Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.Must be eligible to meet ITAR requirements.EEO and Accommodation
