Canadian Kraft Paper is seeking a Safety Team Lead to uphold the highest occupational health and safety standards while fostering a culture where safety is embraced as a shared responsibility. This role is key to advancing our safety strategy, overseeing Plant Protection operations, and ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a proactive safety culture across all departments.
• Oversee CKP’s Safety & Health Program, ensuring compliance with all Workplace Safety & Health regulations.
• Manage the Plant Protection Department, including first aid attendants and emergency response operations.
• Coordinate safety audits, inspections, and training (First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, Made Safe, etc.).
• Provide leadership in incident investigations, risk management, and corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary contact for fire protection, insurance fire system inspections, and government safety agencies.
• Develop and deliver safety orientations and training for all employees and contractors.
• Support leadership teams with effective communication, reporting, and coaching on safety practices.
