Seeking anexperienced Private Chef / House Manager for a semiformal residencein the Forest Hill area of Toronto. The successful applicant willbe required to plan and prepare meals plus some house managementtasks.
The typical work hours are 10am 6pm Monday through Friday.Applicants should be flexible with their schedules and be availablefor some evenings weekends and holidays.
This is a fulltime liveoutposition with frequent summer travel required to a cottageproperty. Hours and schedule during cottage season will bediscussed ahead of the upcomingseason.

You are awellrounded private chef who enjoys keeping a clean and verywellorganized work environment. You have a strong understanding ofhousehold hygiene and cleaning best practices.
You have a do whatit takes attitude and have a calm and collected approach whenthings don t go as planned. You can wear a number of different hatsand are an efficient manager.
PrimaryResponsibilities :
- Dailycooking required; must have knowledge of a variety of differentcuisines mainly healthy and nutritiousmeals
- Inventorymanagement of the kitchen and residence including cleaning productsandtoiletries
- Menuplanning track and keep records of menus to avoid repetition ofmeals
- Groceryshopping
- Managementof household staff vendors andcontractors
- Takethe lead in creating household schedules manuals and operationaldocumentation
- Coordinateand complete deep clean projects with the housekeeper while theprincipals aretravelling
- Ensurehousehold mechanical systems HVAC plumbing equipment and fixturesaremaintained
- Scheduleand supervise trades and contractors asneeded
- Householdadministration including tracking expenses invoices reconciliationcontracts employment recordsetc.
- Dailywalkthroughs of residence ensuring security measures and protocolsare in place and the property is secure at alltimes
- Occasionalentertainment event planning andfacilitation
- Comfortableworking in a home withpets
- Errandsand other tasks asneeded
ApplicantQualities :
- ExcellentEnglish communication skills and professional personalpresentation
- Mustmaintain privacy and confidentiality always exercising diplomacydiscretion and respecting appropriateboundaries
- Avalid clean Ontario driver s license (class G) is required;consistent access to a vehicle isrequired
- Adegree or diploma from an accredited culinary institution is anasset
- Mustbe legally entitled to work inCanada
