- The Director of Web Development oversees UI / UX project coordination, resource management, andmunication with stakeholders.
- Responsibilities include directing all emerce operations, supporting existing applications, and developing new technical solutions across multiple regions.
What you'll need to succeed
Emerce Platform Expertise : Proficiently manage and optimize emerce platforms, including Shopify, WordPress (with Womerce), and Magento.
Leverage these platforms to their full potential, aligning with business goals. Lead and mentor a team of skilled developers in creating and maintaining emerce websites across platforms like Magento, Womerce, and Shopify.
Strategic Planning and Execution : Develop and implement aprehensive digital strategy. Incorporate insights from market analysis, customer behavior, and technological advancements.
Oversee all aspects of emerce website development, including innovation, improvements, and maintenance.
Website Development and Management : Supervise the technical aspects of the website. Ensure seamless integration of various functionalities and plugins.
Implement cutting-edge technologies, including AI, to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
Technical Proficiency : Utilize programming skills in languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to enhance website functionality and user experience.
Understand API integrations for system connections. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology development with business goals.
- Data Analysis and Reporting : Analyze website traffic and sales data using advanced analytics tools. Make informed decisions based on KPIs and ROI analysis.
- Team Leadership and Development : Lead the emerce team, emphasizing skill development in emerce platforms, programming, both in the head office and remote offices.
- Industry Trends : Stay updated with the latest trends in emerce technology, platform updates, and digital marketing strategies.
Work Experience :
- Minimum 8-10 years of direct work experience in an Emerce operations role.
- Overseeing web development, management, and related customer service, with at least five years at a leadership level.
Technical Skills :
- Knowledge of programming concepts, software development cycles, and associated tools and platforms.
- Strong programming skills and familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Proficiency in PHP, especially for Magento and Womerce development.
- Strong experience with Shopify’s Liquid programming language.
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning implementations in emerce.
- Experience with database technologies like MySQL.
- Knowledge of API integration, especially for emerce platforms
