About the Opportunity
MERE HR & Consulting is partnering with a well‑established transportation organization based in Mirabel, Québec to recruit a Fleet Manager . This role is central to daily transportation operations and combines responsibilities similar to a dispatcher with full oversight of fleet assets.
The Fleet Manager will play a critical role in supporting drivers, maintaining fleet readiness, managing costs, and responding quickly to operational issues involving trucks and trailers. This role is ideal for a hands‑on transportation professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
Position Overview
The Fleet Manager is responsible for coordinating daily fleet operations while managing company‑owned trucks and trailers. This role works closely with drivers, dispatch, maintenance providers, and management to ensure safe, compliant, and cost‑effective fleet operations.
This position may require the individual to respond to after‑hours or emergency situations related to fleet issues, including breakdowns, accidents, or urgent repairs.
