Now Hiring - Market Operations Specialist, Derivatives, Technical Help Desk
The Market Operations Specialist, Derivatives, is responsible for providing business critical customer service to Equity and Derivative Trading and Market Data customers of the TMX Group.
The team provides both Business and Technical Support, through support center in Montreal.
This position will be primarily responsible for overseeing and delivering technology driven initiatives. We also support business changes, providing End User QA Testing, and supporting clients with application certification.
We are seeking a full-time team member to join our growing all-star team. The team is Business Critical, with team members in the heart of Montreal and Toronto's financial districts.
The successful candidate will work full-time from our state-of-the-art Montreal office, located in the new Deloitte Tower, adjacent to the Bell Centre.
You'll be joining our Market Operations team, providing customer support for our Derivatives trading and market data lines of business.
The role will primarily cover North American markets trading hours. The candidate has to be available from 7 : 30am until 6 : 30pm During periods of absence (vacation, sick / personal days) team members from other shifts will cover the overnight shifts.
Our team's regular schedule is from Sunday evening (7 : 00 p.m. ET and ends Friday evening (5 : 30 p.m. ET).
The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting existing clients and shaping the future of our client base as a contributor to all technology and trading business initiatives.
In addition to providing Level One and Level Two support, the team also support clients with application certification and performing End User QA testing.
Our clients are Direct Market Access Vendors, Canadian and Foreign Approved Participants, Participating Organizations, and Market Data Vendors.
How the Market Operations Specialist contributes at TMX?
Provide consistently high level customer focused service and act as a positive ambassador for TMX Group
Provide on-going recommendations for process improvement for the team's work practices
Coordinate customer communications with other teams as required
Gather market intelligence and engage product management with new development ideas
Monitor the activity of industry competitors in the territory and summarize to management with recommendations for action.
Skills and Experience :
3-5 years of industry experience
Understand market operations, industry economics and customer business
Knowledge of Derivative and Equity markets
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Collaborative team player who can work effectively with the business development and technology teams
Ability to work in a fast paced, open environment, with results driven customer
Bilingual, French and English, spoken and written.
Nice to Have(s) :
Knowledge of Google for work.
Understanding of network fundamentals & IT components / concepts, including Netscout and Wireshark for level one triage
