The Opportunity
- Contributing to projects in areas of environmental impact assessment (EA), stakeholder and Indigenous engagement requirements, and sustainability requirements.
- Advancing completion of environmental and social impact assessments or other environment and biodiversity studies for projects;
identifying opportunities to incorporate biodiversity frameworks and Indigenous opportunities or participation strategies into projects.
- Applying a sustainability and environmental lens to building, infrastructure, and planning projects and initiatives, preparing written correspondence and documents, review of materials, tracking of deliverables, interaction with other project staff and teams.
- Tracking engagement with Indigenous Communities and Organizations, organizing documentation, summarizing engagements, preparing meeting agendas, minutes, and content.
- Supporting corporate initiatives such as the Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan and Nature Positive program.

- Completed an Undergraduate degree in relevant environmental science, planning, engineering, ecology, sustainability, or similar related area of study.
- Proficient in use of software such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe
- Foundational knowledge in Environmental Impact Assessments and stakeholder and Indigenous engagement approaches
- Knowledge of Sustainability concepts
- Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future
Preferred
- Lived or work experience with environmental, social equity and / or sustainability considerations in Indigenous Communities considered an asset.
- Bilingual in French and English (written and oral communication).

The good faith base salary hiring range for this job performed in Toronto, Ottawa or Montreal is $67,000 - $69,000 annually.

Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Montreal will differ
