Role Description
- The Program Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational guidance and direction with a coordinated approach to the management and performance of the program.
Responsibilities :
Develop an overall understanding of each project in the programOversee and coordinate dependencies across projects within the program.Support planning related to program project and resourcesEnsure projects adhere to governance standards policies and practices within the PMOLiase with stakeholders ensuring communications and reporting for projects within the programWork with project managers to oversee the project lifecycle for all projects within the programProvide direction and strategies to projects to ensure projects are delivered on time budget and scopeTrack and report project statuses and KPIs to ensure accountability to project deliverables and performance.Engage in vendor evaluation selection and contract negotiationsContribute to PMO processes continuous improvementRequirements
Skill Requirements / Qualifications :
The Resource must have the following minimum qualifications or experience :
Minimum of 15 years of experience managing Information Technology projectsValid PMP Certification or Prince2 Practitioner certification.Extensive knowledge and experience with project management methodologiesExperience with strategic planningExperience leading and managing a project team within a provincial government settingUnderstanding of provincial government processes policies and proceduresStrong understanding of information technology cyber security and its strategic application to businessStrong facilitation and negotiation skillsStrong analysis and problem resolution skillsStrong leadership organization and time management and decision making skillsStrong interpersonal listening and conflict resolution skillsStrong communication skills; oral written and presentationRequired Skills :
