Security Site Manager

The Site Manager position, which reports to the Account Manager designated by Guardteck Operations, is important in ensuring that the site is performing at a high level of Customer Service and following the site’s contractual requirements.

This position requires a high level of professionalism and the ability to act quickly during various incidents that happen on-site.

Guardteck Security is hiring for a Site Security Manager in the Lower Mainland.

Job Responsibilities :

Operational Management :

  • Ensure all staff assigned on-site follow Guardteck’s standards, rules, and policies.
  • Daily review of all Incident Reports, and the Daily Dispatch Log to ensure all pertinent information is captured and ensure proper Grammar is used
  • Email containing the Daily Dispatch Log and any Incident Reports to be sent out daily as per Guardteck SOP
  • Conduct a review of the weekly schedule within Winteam on Mondays at 1200hrs (noon)to ensure the weekly schedule for the previous week has been completely entered and if not, follow up with the Site Security Leadership Team to determine why it has not been completed
  • Review of the pay period being locked down by 1200hrs (noon) on lockdown days to ensure that the schedule that will be locked down is fully entered and all rates are entered properly.
  • Reviewing the contract and ensuring that the site is fully compliant with all pre-requisite and site-required training for all staff working on-site
  • Follow up with the Guardteck Operations Team to ensure all required training that is outstanding is being actioned
  • Review and approve any expense reports, pay discrepancies, and recruitment tickets in Zendesk
  • Conduct a meeting with the Guardteck Account Manager at least once every two weeks and ensure that the meeting minutes are tabulated and shared with the Account Manager
  • Monthly Scorecard completion to provide the Account Management Team with an Operational Update on the site’s performance
  • Ensure KPIs are being followed and any exceptions should be reported to the Account Management Team
  • Respond to any after-hours emergencies to support Site Staff as well as ensure information is being disseminated to the proper channels based on the incident that is occurring

Team Leadership & Mentoring :

  • Coaching and Development of the site’s Security Leadership Team
  • Developing and implementing robust security strategies and policies to protect the company’s assets, employees, and facilities
  • Conduct bi-yearly and yearly Employee Performance Reviews on all staff assigned on-site
  • Coordinate and Execution of random tabletop exercises such as Fire Drills and Active Threat Situations (Active Shooter, Subject with a Weapon, Bomb Threats)
  • Conduct a meeting with all Shift Supervisors and the Site Security Management Team at least once a month and have the meeting minutes tabulated and sent to the Guardteck Operations Team
  • The Site Supervisory Team shall select an employee to be the Employee of the Month

Client Interaction :

  • Conduct random security threat assessments of the property and liaise with the Guardteck Account Manager, and the Site’s Property Management Team to assist with possible ways to increase the level of Security and the efficiency of the Security Program
  • Maintaining and updating emergency response plans, ensuring all employees know their roles and responsibilities as well as relaying information requiring updating to the Client to ensure the Response Plans are updated throughout the property
  • Conduct a meeting with the Site Property Management at least twice per month and ensure that the meeting minutes are tabulated and sent to the Guardteck Operations Team
  • Checking in with the Site Property Management Team at least once per day and conduct random site walkthroughs with the Property Management Team
  • Responding and actioning of any Client requests made via email or telephone in a timely and efficient manner

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity within the security industry.
  • Experience with integrated security systems (CCTV, Access, Intrusion).
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and awareness of Guardteck’s business environment and relationships.
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Minimum OFA 2 Certification or willingness to attain the certification
  • AST Certification or the willingness to attain the certification
  • Willingness to attain and maintain an ASIS Membership in good standing

Wage Range : $80,000
