Schedule : Monday – Friday (Overnight Shifts, Day Shifts, Rotating Shifts)
Pay Rate : $19.83 – $22.07 / hour

Overview
Paladin Security is looking for a Full-Time Healthcare Security Guard to support a busy healthcare site in Leamington, ON . This 58-bed hospital operates 24 / 7 and includes emergency services, surgical care, inpatient units, and specialist clinics. This role requires strong professionalism, vigilance, and the ability to manage access control, patrols, and incident response while maintaining a calm and customer-service focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to ensure only authorized personnel and visitors enter
- Verify identification badges and visitor passes
- Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises including parking lots, corridors, and sensitive areas (ER, maternity, etc.)
- Identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and security concerns
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches quickly and professionally
- Assist with disruptive individuals and support conflict de-escalation
- Support hospital staff during emergency situations (fire drills, evacuations, etc.)
- Provide assistance with patient transport when needed for safety
- Monitor CCTV systems and security equipment for unusual activity
- Maintain detailed logs of patrols, surveillance, and security checks
- Document incidents accurately and prepare reports for management
- Communicate effectively with hospital administration and law enforcement when required
- Provide directions and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor at all times
- Follow hospital security policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Requirements
Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseValid First Aid and CPR Level C from a WSIB certified providerProof of immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella , and completed 2-step TB skin testProof of 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccinationMust have or be working towards a diploma / degree in a post-secondary law enforcement programMust be able to commit to a rotation schedule for a minimum of six (6) monthsStrong verbal and written English communication skillsMust be at least 18 years oldMust be legally authorized to work in CanadaNice-to-Have
1+ years of security experienceValid G Class Driver’s LicenseSkills & Qualifications
