Location : Lillooet, British Columbia – on the unceded traditional territory of the St'at'imc First Peoples.

About the school : Enrolls approximately 210 students in Grades 8 through 12, 72% of whom are of Indigenous ancestry. Lillooet Secondary provides a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

The successful applicant must have or be eligible for certification to teach in British Columbia and possess :

• Qualifications / experience in the posting's subject area and grade level.
• Knowledge of the BC curriculum and competencies.
• Strong assessment practices, including assessment as and for learning.
• Experience integrating local Indigenous culture and traditions into the curriculum, or familiarity with local Indigenous culture.
• Ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies to accommodate all students.
• Experience integrating experiential, on‑land and / or inquiry learning opportunities.
• Ability to develop a positive learning environment with strong organization and classroom management.
• Commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
• Commitment to technology integration.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, parents and community.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range for full‑time teaching positions : $60,076 to $109,520, based on the Collective Agreement. The district offers a competitive benefits and pension package.
