Material Handler | Forklift Driver
Type : Full-Time
Pay Rate : $ per hrs + $ per heavy premium
Shift : : am to : pm
Location : Stanfield Road, Unit C, Mississauga ON, LY S
Key Responsibilities : :
- Safe and efficient movement of Product. (Including loading and unloading trucks)
- Accurately pick and pack items for shipment potentially with a forklift
- Label and prepare items for shipment
- Work with Inventory Control on correct product placement
- Performs daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure
- Assist in cycle counting and periodic inventories
- Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
- Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
- Participate in process Improvement by communicating to supervisor and / or team lead
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Previous warehouse / manufacturing experience required
- Forklift experience preferred
- Current forklift certification
- Basic math and reading skills
- Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions
- Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to lift / move up to pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment
- Physical requirements include : lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time, ability to handle heights
