Municipal Engineer
The Opportunity :
Join our clients Municipal Infrastructure Services Group as a Junior to Intermediate Municipal Infrastructure Engineer or EIT, bringing a minimum of 3 years of experience to the team.
You can be located in one of our clients office within Wingham, Woodstock, Orangeville or Collingwood. You will play a key role in planning and designing linear infrastructure projects for municipal clients, including roads, watermain, sanitary and storm systems, and associated works.
What You’ll Be Doing :
Overseeing and / or participating in the production of contract drawings for roads, storm drainage systems, and water and wastewater-related linear infrastructure.
Undertaking preliminary and detailed design activities.
Preparing technical memoranda, preliminary and detailed design reports.
Developing technical specifications, special provisions, and forms of tender.
Reviewing quantity and cost estimates for completeness and accuracy.
Assisting in proposal preparation, including the development of work plans, schedules, and fee estimates for various components of infrastructure work.
Collaborating with other disciplines / departments in the preparation of reports, design packages, and proposals for multi-disciplinary projects.
Providing Contract Administration services during the construction of roads, storm drainage systems, and water and wastewater linear infrastructure.
Working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Actively participating in professional development and industry events.
What You Bring :
Degree in Civil Engineering.
Registered or pursuing Professional Engineer designation in Ontario.
3+ years of experience in road design, storm drainage design, and / or water / wastewater linear infrastructure design.
Proficiency in using desktop computational tools such as MS Office 365, including Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and / or Adobe Acrobat.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid technical report writing skills.
Well-developed organizational, analytical problem-solving, project management, presentation, business / technical writing, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
